It is a biographical film starring Chadwick Boseman and Harrison Ford in supporting roles. The film is about breaking the color line with the introduction of the first black athlete in the game of baseball. The film is about Jackie Robinson, who gets a mention in “Reggie” as well, where racist slurs had been thrown at him for being the first black athlete on a baseball team. Robinson was the rookie of the Brooklyn Dodgers and had to survive through the racist, hateful comments and outlook of his teammates, fans, and media everywhere. The film is very important in the sense that it is a long overdue and serious biopic about one of the most historic and important events of 20th-century America. “42” is the jersey number of Jackie Robinson, one of the historic players in the major leagues. The performances were critically positive, and the film grossed quite an amount of money in the US market.

“The Battered Bastards of Baseball” is a documentary film about a defunct baseball team called the Portland Mavericks.
