‘Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales Of The Macabre’ Release Date, Where To Watch, And Much More 

“Junji Ito Maniac” is an upcoming anime series based on the works of Japanese horror manga artist Junji Ito. The series will be released in 2021 and will feature several of Ito’s most popular and terrifying tales. As per the details we got, the anime will feature stories like “Tomie,” “The Enigma of Amigara Fault,” “The Strange Hikizuri Siblings: The Seance,” “The Story of the Mysterious Tunnel; Ice Cream Truck,” and “Blackbird.” The plot of this series will focus on several different stories, each one delving into the twisted and macabre mind of Junji Ito. The series will explore themes of fear, obsession, and the supernatural and feature a wide range of terrifying creatures and monstrous imagery. 

Collection Of stories and their plot: “Tomie”: This is one of the mangas that will be featured in the series; it’s about a beautiful girl who can manipulate the men who fall for her. She can make them do whatever she wants, and they will do anything to keep her around, even if it means killing for her.

“The Enigma of Amigara Fault”: This story is another depiction that will be included in the series; it’s about a mysterious fault discovered in a mountain that reveals human-shaped holes. People who see the holes feel compelled to enter them, leading to terrifying consequences.

“Blackbird” is also included in the series; it’s the story about a girl who discovers she can turn into a blackbird and uses it to escape her mundane life. However, she soon realizes that her new form has its own horrifying consequences.

 “Unendurable Labyrinth”: A group of people who become trapped in a mysterious and deadly labyrinth and must find a way to escape while being hunted by terrifying creatures. The labyrinth is created by a man who wants to test his theories of fear and the limits of the human mind. The characters in the manga must face their deepest fears and fight to survive in the labyrinth while also uncovering the truth behind the sinister motivations of the labyrinth’s creator. Overall, it’s a horror story with a mix of psychological, fantasy, and science fiction genres and a strong focus on the concept of fear and how it can affect human behavior. 

“The Long Hair in the Attic”: A young woman named Shuichi Saito inherits an old house from her ancestors. As she begins to explore the house, she discovers an attic with a locked door that she is unable to open. Eventually, she manages to open the door and finds a room filled with long black hair. She also discovers that the hair is sentient and can move on its own. The horde begins to torment Shuichi and her family. They also discover that the hair is connected to a mysterious woman who lived in the attic long ago. The story ultimately reveals the dark and tragic history of the woman and the hair and how they are connected to the Saito family.

“Bullied”: The story follows a group of students who are bullied by a mysterious, ghost-like figure who appears in the school. They soon discover that the figure is connected to a tragic event from the past and that it is seeking revenge on those who wronged it. The story explores the themes of bullying, guilt, and the consequences of one’s actions.

 “The Hanging Balloon”: This story takes us to a group of friends who discover a strange balloon hanging in the middle of the town that seems to be alive and has a sinister presence. As they investigate it, they start experiencing strange and terrifying occurrences, and they realize that the balloon is connected to a dark and deadly secret from the past. The story explores the theme of fear. “Four by Four” is the story of a group of friends who become trapped in a mysterious and deadly maze, where they are hunted by terrifying creatures.

The series will be produced by Studio Deen, known for their work on other horror anime such as “Higurashi: When They Cry” and “Umineko: When They Cry.” The series will be directed by Shinobu Tagashira, who has previously worked on “Diabolik Lovers” and “The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of the Commandments.” Recently, the official franchise revealed the third promotional video, which features the official ending song. “Iu Toori” (as was said) by JYOCHO will be the ending song. Apart from this, the series will feature 20 horror stories by Junji Ito. In general, fans of Junji Ito’s work and horror anime will not want to miss this upcoming series.

According to our sources, “Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre” will be released on January 19, 2022. So, yes, the wait is over. The most iconic collection of horror stories is almost here.
