Best Affordable Flagship Smartphones That You Can Buy On Holi 2023

Everyone does not have the budget to go for the latest models of the iPhone or flagship models from other premium Android brands, which could result in burning their pockets. Yet they are willing to spend a handsome sum of money to get the second-best thing available on the market. These models are affordable flagships that offer a plethora of features at a reasonable price. If you are someone who wants a good smartphone under a budget of ₹40,000-₹60,000, then this article is just for you.

Google Pixel 7

If you are someone who is looking for a clean Android experience with powerful cameras, the Google Pixel 7 should be at the top of your list. The dual camera setup, which includes 50 MP (wide) and 12 MP (ultrawide), works in combination with the Tensor G2 chip to provide the user with computational photography and mind-blowing features. Weighing 197 g, the Google Pixel 7 has a 6.3 in AMOLED display with 1400 nits of peak brightness, but the refresh rate is 90 Hz. The 20 W wired charger for an affordable flagship is a bit of a farce, and the battery performance is not what you expect. Available in Snow, Lemongrass, and Obsidian colors, the Google Pixel 7 is priced at ₹59,999 at the moment.

IQOO 9 Pro

A subsidiary brand of Vivo, IQOO’s 9 Pro comes with BMW M Motorsport branding and a refreshing design. The device boasts a 6.78 in curved LTPO2 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1500 nits of peak brightness, but discoloration on the curved side and the lack of an IPX rating are a bit of an issue with the IQOO 9 Pro. The device comes with Android 12 (Funtouch 12) and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and is able to handle everything you throw at it. The impressive cooling components further assist in the phone’s performance and do not let it heat up. With 50 MP (wide), 16 MP (telephoto), and 50 MP (ultrawide), the cameras deliver crisp and detailed images in all lighting conditions and are also packed with gimbal OIS. The 4700 mAh battery provides great assistance and can be charged quickly via the 120 W wired charger. Only two years of software updates is a real bummer, but aside from that, it is a fantastic, affordable flagship available for ₹57,990.

Xiaomi 12 Pro

In recent times, Xiaomi has gotten a great grip on the Indian smartphone market and introduced the Xiaomi 12 Pro to compete against premium brands like Samsung, Google, and iPhone. At a price of ₹55,999, the device offers a huge LTPO AMOLED display of 6.7 in which supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and running on Android 12 (MIUI 13), the device is capable of providing non-stop performance. It has 4 stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, which offer impressive sound quality, and a triple camera setup of 50 MP (wide), 50 MP (telephoto), and 50 MP (ultrawide) that helps take excellent images. The 120 W charger is a blessing because it can charge your device from 1–100% within 20 minutes. The presence of bloatware, the unavailability of an IP rating, and the average battery life are the downsides of the Xiaomi 12 Pro.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra

Motorola has been bringing some quality smartphones to the market for the last few years, and one of them is the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. Equipped with Android 12 (upgradable to Android 13), the device provides a bloat-free experience to its users. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 provides exceptional performance and can handle multitasking and gaming without any lag. Though the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra comes with 200 MP (wide), 12 MP (telephoto), and 50 MP (ultrawide), the camera setup does an average job, and the photo processing is a bit clumsy. The device comes with a dazzling 6.67 in P-OLED display, which has a whopping refresh rate of 144 Hz and 1250 nits of peak brightness but has a poor IPX rating. The 4610 mah battery can be charged quickly with the 125 W charger and provides great battery backup. With this model, priced at ₹54,999, Motorola is providing a great software and hardware experience.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro

Oppo has packed some serious hardware and software into its new Oppo Reno 8 Pro at a competitive price of ₹45,999. With minimal bezels, the 6.7 in AMOLED display provides breathtaking visuals and supports 950 nits of peak brightness. The device runs on Android 12 (ColorOS 12.1) and has the Mediatek Dimensity 8100 processor inside. Though it has a mid-range chipset like the Snapdragon 870, yet it is an able performer that does not slow down on day-to-day usage, gaming, or multitasking. With a huge odd camera bump, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro has a rear camera setup of 50 MP (wide), 8 MP (ultrawide), 2 MP (macro), and 32 MP selfie camera, of which the main wide and the selfie cameras are worth mentioning. The device also provides solid battery performance and offers fast charging with its 4500 mAh battery and 80 W wired charger. The design is a bit slippery, and there is some pre-installed bloatware present in the Oppo Reno 8 Pro.

Conclusion

You can check the table above to compare the benchmark performances of the devices to get an idea. All of these models are expected to get a decent amount of rebate from several websites during the festival of colors, and you can get some great deals out of it. There are several other smartphones in this segment, but the ones mentioned in the list have held firm to their positions since the day of release, and for that reason, they have also taken spots on this list.
