Prime Video has been delivering back-to-back films that will keep you hooked. If binge-watching is a crime, Prime Video should be heavily penalized. It is getting difficult to miss out on any of the new releases. Recently, Prime Videos launched the trailer for their new film featuring actor Kevin Hart, “Die Hart.” The film is a satirical comedy where, for the first time, we see Kevin Hart stepping into action (sarcastically). The trailer gives us an insight into the film, and undoubtedly, you can’t sit calmly, for you are sure to roll on the floor with laughter. “Die Hart” is produced by Hart’s global media company, Heartbeat. Here is everything you need to know about the film.
In “Die Hart,” we see Kevin Hart playing himself in a fictional role, where he tries to break free from how the audience perceives him. He strives to be an action hero, which will break his stereotypical image of a comedy wingman. So, first things first. What does he need? Of course, a school that will teach him how to be an action hero, And Voila! He enrolls in an “action hero school” that is run by Ron Wilcox (John Travolta). No need to guess; this is where he starts his training to be one of the industry’s most coveted action stars. Well, the fun begins here. What do you expect an “action film school” to teach you? For starters, you need to actually escape a burning house and rescue a doll. Don’t mistake the fire for being unreal; it is very real, and you might just catch fire (Kevin Hart’s character was on fire). Also, in actual fight sequences, you get real blows and kicks. Furthermore, the school teaches you in reality how to jump from one building to another. Well, if a school has all these on its curriculum, you can’t say no. Thus, poor Kevin needed to go through all of these in order to be an action hero. Well, being an action hero is no joke. But Kevin’s journey is hilarious, and the actor’s comic timing adds extra shots of laughter in every scene. The two-minute, thirty-second trailer is very promising, and you will love every second of it.
The movie adapts the original “Die Hart” ten-episode series into a feature film. The series was originally launched on Quibi in the U.S., and it impressed critics and viewers alike. The film “Die Hart” is an Amazon Prime Video exclusive. Viewers have pretty high expectations from the film. We all have known Hart as a comedy icon; this time, his comedy is taking a notch up. The trailer also shows a few other famous faces. In a nutshell, the trailer gives a dose of high-power, high-pace entertainment.
We cannot miss the wonderful cast of the film. Along with Kevin Hart, we have Nathalie Emmanuel, the famous “Missandei” of HBO’s popular show “Game of Thrones.” The wonderful actress has given powerful performances in films like “Fast Five” (2011), “Fast and Furious 7” (2015), “F9” (2021), “Twenty8k” (2012), “Four Weddings and a Funeral” (2019), and in series like “Misfits” (2009–2013) and many more. Her role in the film is a powerful one. Her character in the film is “Jordan King,” who plays along with Kevin Hart in his stunt lessons to be an action hero. Nathalie’s performance, the little that we see in the trailer, gives us an insight into what an absolute delight she will be in the film.
Next, we have John Travolta, our very own “Vincent Vega” from the cult classic “Pulp Fiction.” He also appeared in movies, including “From Paris with Love,” “Face/Off,” “The General’s Daughter,” “The Punisher,” “Brando,” and many more. In this film, he plays a popular actor, Ron Wilcox, who is also the one who opens the school that teaches action. Hart is impressed by the skills and acting of Wilcox. Like a puppy following the footsteps of his favorite person, Hart follows Wilcox to his school. Well, Wilcox is a tough guy and an even tougher teacher. He puts Hart in real danger to enhance his “action hero” skill set. Well, as we mentioned earlier, being an action hero is not easy.
We have Kenneth Trujillo playing the role of Diego. Trujillo is a popular name in the industry, not just as an award-winning actor but also as a director and producer. He has been featured in several television shows and films alongside several big names. His performance is best described as grounded and charming. We are elated to have the actor in the film. Among the other important names associated with the movie are Milana Vyantrab, Josh Lamboy, Rahiem Railey, and Brandon Quinn, Gary Weeks, Ronny Matthew, and many more. The film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 24th February, 2023.
