Goosebumps, cold shivers, watery eyes, and a fight worth remembering for the tragic drama “Trial by Fire” will soon be released on the streaming platform. Before we get into the plot, let’s figure out what happened to Neelam and Shekhar and how they are going to engage themselves in an endless, impulsive encounter with laws and regulations, as shown in the trailer.
The heartbreaking series is based on a true event: the outstanding Bollywood film “Border” by J.P. Dutta was being played on the screen of Uphaar Cinema. On June 13, 1997, around 4:55 p.m., a fire broke out through installed transformers at that Cinema Hall situated in the Green Park area, South Delhi. The accident caused the deaths of 59 people and injured more than 100 others, including males, females, and children. The capital of India witnessed a deadly, unfortunate event that shook up the families who lost their loved ones. The case got closed with the seven-year imprisonment of the real estate agents of the property on November 8, 2021.
Every parent gives their maximum potential to keep their children happy in this world and beyond that too. When it comes to the person we love the most, we can go to any extent, and that is probably how love tests you the best. Abhay Deol, the leading actor, wrote on Instagram that this had been the most difficult and tragic role he has ever gotten to play.
‘Trial By Fire’ Plot
The plot revolves around Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, a blissfully happy couple with two naughty teens. On a not-so-fine day, the children made a plan to watch a film that would be over by 6 p.m. In the trailer, Neelam is pretty cool with what her children want, as she does not want to create hindrances in their space. Who had known that the evening would bring dark shadows into their lives and that the fire that caught in the theater would also touch off their jolly family? Nothing can ever compensate for their loss; rather, their lives are just broken into fragments, filled with remorse after the incident. The trailer depicts their never-ending challenges and difficulties, over the past 24 years, in the chase for justice. A battle that is not just for their children but for each one of them whose life got affected and eviscerated by the fire. The few seconds of the trailer are quite bothersome; it will make you think of what happens when people reunite—how do they become each other’s strength? The remarkable journey of Neelam and Shekhar is infused with so much perseverance, patience, and courage that it could make a noticeable difference in the corrupted world. The way things happened to them and they were pushed to fight for justice is truly heartbreaking. The couple drew up a plan that will finally bring them luck in the long-running legal battle—an unmissable message to society that we can look forward to.
