After all, Jackman has already confirmed that “Deadpool 3” will not mess with the events with “Logan.” Also, doing so won’t really change anything since the era of Fox’s “X-Men” movies is over, and MCU is about to begin a new chapter with new actors and a new storyline. However, if Jackman does play himself in the film, it could result in a funny moment where the MCU references the real world as part of the multiverse.
Apart from Hugh Jackman, it’s also rumored that Patrick Stewart is reprising his role as Professor X in the film. If that’s true, then the movie will undoubtedly take place before “Logan” since the Professor is old and senile in the film. Apart from this, there’s also speculation that Ian McKellan’s Magneto will show up in the movie. If that’s true, we might see a little reunion of the major “X-Men” characters.
