Zee5 is bringing us a period drama. The trailer for “Taj: Divided By Blood” is out, and it looks promising. The show will keep you on the edge of your seat as it has the right amount of fiction and action! Let’s find out more about the series.
‘Taj: Divided By Blood’ – What Is In The Trailer?
The trailer begins with Naseeruddin Shah as Akbar. In the trailer, Akbar announces that he is trying to find a successor who is deserving of the throne. Usually, the eldest son gets the throne and becomes the emperor. However, that will not be the case in this series. Akbar tells his three sons that he will be testing them. He won’t be deciding his successor by the age of his sons; he will be giving his throne to someone worthy. In the trailer, we see that the three sons are completely opposite of each other. Prince Salim is more interested in poetry, music, and love than in becoming an emperor. Whereas Prince Murad is after the throne and believes it only belongs to him. The youngest, Prince Daniyal, is pure and prays.
We further see that Akbar’s advisor says that the battle over succession will be the reason for unrest between the brothers. However, Akbar tells him as long as he is a strong king, his family will be strong too. We see that it is not the case, there is a lot of room for drama. Further into the trailer, we see Anarkali. Salim and Anarkali grow close, and Akbar doesn’t seem to like it. He warns Anarkali and tells her not to forget where she comes from. Unlike other shows, “Taj: Divided by Blood” will show the dark side of the Mughal empire.
