‘Class’ Plot, Cast, Release Date, And Everything You Need To Know

What simply comes to mind when you come across the word “Class”—all of a sudden, you look back to the carefree moments from your school days? But the teaser of “Class” starts with a different view—not your so-called classroom with chuckles and giggles, but rather a room filled with fellow students mocking each other. This is the class that reflects the social and economic status of students carrying a tag of elite culture vs. non-elites. The murder-mystery thriller is just a remake of the Spanish series “Elite,” but in reality, this is one of the instances of how the class collides with each other; sometimes we face it, and some days we just ignore it – because we all have accepted the truth that money is the pillar of all, to have a good life or to gain respect in this materialistic world. With “Class,” we will see the fluctuation between poor and rich and how the moneyed eventually accuse and abuse the enslaved by misusing their authority. The teen hit “Elite” has a very intriguing plot with drug addicts and scandalous kids with homophobic and xenophobic perspectives in the Spanish class war. But certainly, it is steamy, cool, and fresh concerning our progressive mindset.

‘Class’ Plot

The story is based on one of the most expensive schools in Delhi and portrays the lives of three middle-class teens named Dheeraj, Saba, and Balli. They received scholarships and joined Hampton International, known as the finest and fanciest school in the capital. The posh school is occupied with spoiled brats, egoistic princesses, and whippersnappers. Over the trailer, Dheeraj narrates the entire atmosphere, adding that he had never experienced such a school before. The trailer starts with a police investigation in front of Hampton International, with a voice from behind saying that the appearance of the trio created an unsafe environment, culminating in the murder of a student. You might get enrolled in the “class,” but you might not be accepted as a part of it. The privileged classmates with deep pockets have been seen enjoying parties, smoking, drinking, and engaging in sexual activities. On the one hand, there are the kids with powerful backgrounds, high-end cars, creative slang, and opulent lifestyles; on the other hand, there are Dheeraj and his pals, who belong to the overpopulated, crammed alleys of Delhi. As they attempt to blend in together, it just crashes in between, resulting in toxic friendships, private affairs, lies, and deceptions. Later, the death of a student makes the situation so convoluted that the police start suspecting everyone. The lady in charge firmly believes that the killer must be among her friends, not the other way around. Though the plot smells of action, Ashim Ahluwalia did not forget to sprinkle sarcasm and humor into it. It doesn’t lack romance in any sense; throughout the trailer, it is clear that there will be multiple relationships between the youngsters. He wanted to design something authentic and exceptional that would have a touch of intense adolescent emotions. Class consciousness is always there but barely shown on the screen; that is what we will explore now through “Class.”
